In our mission to ground the Dharma in Canada, we recognize that the body requires two distinct types of support: the Active Strength to build the vessel and the Receptive Grace to harmonize its energies.
To achieve this, Vajra Traya is honored to work in a deep, synergetic collaboration with Martha Lopez Fonseca and her practice, Padma Traya.
This partnership is a bridge between two "Traya" (Triple) systems. While the Vajra cuts through blockages with the "Thunderbolt" of corrective training, the Padma unfolds the body’s potential like a "Lotus" through manual therapy and energetic alignment.
Vajra Traya (The Active Effort): Focused on neuromuscular activation, motor control, and the "Inner Fire" of yoga. It is the work of doing—strengthening the architecture and commanding the muscles.
Padma Traya (The Receptive Integration): Focused on the traditional Japanese art of Shiatsu and manual energetic release. It is the work of being—allowing the meridians to open, the nervous system to settle, and the tissues to integrate the training.
Under the guidance of Martha Lopez Fonseca, Padma Traya offers a specialized sanctuary for physical and subtle-body restoration. Her work acts as the "receptive ground" for our active training, focusing on:
The Lotus of Form (Physical Release): Using Shiatsu to address chronic tension, muscular adhesions, and structural stagnation.
The Lotus of Flow (Energetic Alignment): Working with the meridian system to ensure that the Qi (vital energy) moves without obstruction after intense training or long-term restriction.
The Lotus of Stillness (Nervous System Recovery): Providing a deep "reset" for the practitioner, moving the body from a state of stress or pain into a state of profound parasympathetic relaxation.
Many who visit us have exhausted standard options. They often arrive with complex histories of injury or the physical "precarity" that can come with age.
By combining the Active Conditioning of Vajra Traya with the Manual Wisdom of Padma Traya, we provide a "Closed Loop" of care:
For the Senior or Injured: We don't just "treat" an issue; we train the body to support itself while Padma Traya ensures the tissues remain supple and responsive.
For the High-Performance Athlete: We optimize the power output through motor control, while Padma Traya ensures recovery is deep and energetic pathways are clear.
For the Spiritual Seeker: Together, we clear the "Channels and Winds" from both the outside-in (Shiatsu) and the inside-out (Yoga).
We maintain a clear and respectful boundary with the medical community. Both Vajra Traya and Padma Traya provide Training and Manual Support, not medical diagnosis or clinical treatment.
We find our success where standard protocols often end—focusing on the optimization of the human experience. We are not "fixing" patients; we are supporting practitioners in their journey toward physical and spiritual mastery.
"When the strength of the Vajra meets the purity of the Padma, the path becomes effortless."
